At this event, candidate Lee Jae-myung introduced himself, expressed his gratitude to the people, and vowed to fulfill his mission.

Gratitude towards the People

Dear citizens of the Republic of Korea, I am Lee Jae-myung, who has a high likelihood of being elected as the 21st president, although I have not yet been confirmed as the elected candidate. Beloved citizens of Korea, I sincerely thank you. I will not forget the mission you have entrusted to me and will surely fulfill it.

The Source and Purpose of Power

Since December 3rd of last year until today, what you have hoped for is that this country belongs to ordinary citizens. The power of every president comes from the people, and that power should be used for the lives of the citizens and the future of the country, not for private interests. Now, you have proven this point with your votes. Thank you.

The First Mission of the People

The first mission you have entrusted to me is to overcome civil war and prevent military coups. I will restore democracy and create a world where our people are respected as sovereigns. I will uphold a community based on recognition and cooperation, not hatred.

Efforts for Economic Recovery and Livelihood

The second mission is to revive the economy and restore people's livelihoods. From the moment I am confirmed as the elected official, I will do my best to quickly and surely recover your painful lives. We will all work together for a better life.

Role and Responsibility of the State

Thirdly, the Republic of Korea must be responsible for the lives and safety of its citizens. In the past, our citizens have questioned the reason for the existence of the state. In the future, we will do our utmost to perfectly protect the lives and safety of the people. We will strive to create a safe country.

Peace on the Korean Peninsula

The fourth goal is to create a peaceful Korean Peninsula. Based on solid national defense capabilities, I believe that exercising deterrence against North Korea while achieving peace without fighting is true security. I will seek a path to common prosperity through dialogue and cooperation between the South and the North.

Community of Respect

Lastly, we are colleagues who should respect each other and live together. Beyond gender, region, age, and occupation, we will collaborate without hatred and create a happy community. We will build a world that transcends conflict and fosters respect.

Relationship between Politics and the People

I will ensure that politics does not divide the people. There may be differences among lawmakers, but the citizens should not take sides. I will fulfill the responsibility of great integration. I will ensure that politics serves its role as a worker responsible for the lives of the people.

Message of Hope

Our difficulties can be overcome when a nation with great capabilities comes together. Let's move forward with hope, confidence, and hand in hand. Now, let's make a new start. Thank you, everyone. Let's go together.
